How do I sign up?

It's easy! Have your utility bill handy with your account number, and we'll handle the rest. Sign up here or call us at 833-200-9828, and we'll help you choose the best rate.

Am I going to pay any fees for signing up?

We don't believe in sign-up or hidden fees. Just electricity plain and simple - at a great low rate.

What is Price-Protection?

With a Better Buy price-protected fixed rate plan, your residential or small commercial rate is guaranteed to stay the same for the length of your initial term. For example, if you have a 12-month price-protected plan, you can rest assured that your price/kWh will not change for at least 12 billing cycles.

Ok, I signed up. What else do I need to do?

Nothing. We will take care of everything from here and let your utility know. Your switch will be seamless without any interruption to your service.

When will my new low rate take effect?

Usually, your new rate will start with your next meter read. We'll send you a confirmation within 3 days after you sign up with your start date.

Who will send me my bill for electricity usage?

You'll still receive one monthly bill from your utility. You'll see a new line with your electricity charge from Better Buy Energy.

I'm happy with Better Buy. How do I renew?

Renewing is simple. Before your contract ends, we'll send you a letter in the mail that contains great rates available to you. If you have any questions, just give us a call at 833-200-9828, and we'll be happy to help.

I'm moving. How do I take my rate with me to my new home?

Taking your rate with you is easy! You can visit our Move Center or give us a call at 833-200-9828, and we'll help you get set up and settled into your new place.

Who do I contact with questions about my current rate or contract?

Give us a call at 833-200-9828 anytime between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. We're here to help answer any questions you may have.

Who do I contact to report a power outage or electric service problem?

Contact your local utility company for power outages and service problems. They'll respond around-the-clock to outages, service calls, and emergencies regardless of your electric supplier.

How do I find my account number?

Your Better Buy Energy account number is the same account number used by your utility. It's usually on the first page of your electricity bill.
